The Brisbane Outboard Aquatic Touring Club was formed in 1963.
The Club was formed to provide an avenue for people with an interest in boating
to gather and enjoy boating activities.
Today, the Club offers many and varied activities and
functions at which Members and Guests may enjoy the friendship of interesting
people of all walks of life, and with whom they can share the pleasure of
boating and social activities.
Becoming a member of the
B.O.A.T. Club offers a number of advantages
to the boating person. The Club offers all Members a forum to get
together and meet new friends with similar boating interests.
The
Club has a lease of an area on South Stradbroke Island known as
Boathaven. Boathaven is a facility on Tippler's Passage, just
south of the South Stradbroke Island Resort, commonly known as Tippler's. |
